Frequently Asked Questions1. What is Fit To Be In Your Kitchen (FTBIYK)? We are a company dedicated to helping people achieve their health and fitness goals through the use of proper nutrition and exercise, emphasizing whole foods and education for a maintainable lifestyle. 2. How does the program work? When FTBIYK takes on a client we make ourselves available to them through all mediums of communication, via e-mails, phone calls and in person if with in reason. We have long distance clients that we train with a personalized program utilizing specific strength and cardio techniques and suggestions, that we feel will most benefit the individual clients' specific goals in the safest and most efficient manner. We do your nutritional calculations with the pertinent information such as; height, weight, age, BF%, exercise routine and lifestyle. From there we figure your minimum protein needs for your specific goals and then build the rest of your macro nutrients around this information and share our findings with you in a specific nutritional plan (THIS IS NOT A DIET). Although we are capable of helping you achieve fast weight loss via the scale, this is not our goal and such results are not congruent with FTBIYK's beliefs and philosophy of a maintainable lifestyle. 3. What is Carb Cycling? Carb cycling helps create an environment in your body that allows us to manipulate your metabolism to do what we want in order for you to achieve your goals. We do this by restructuring macro nutrients emphasizing a High, Medium and Low carb day. By doing this we never have to focus on "low carb dieting" i.e. other well known ketosis based diets. By constantly changing your macro nutrients we can keep your energy levels high and fat burning constant while maintaining or gaining lean muscle tissue without ever having to deal with Ketosis. 4. What is required of me as a client? Simply stated "Ya gotta wanna!". You need dedication, commitment, and self-motivation. We can provide you with the correct information and tools, but you will have to implement them. This means pre-plannig all your meals, which requires batch-cooking and other essential variables to assure your personal success. We insist that you utilize an on-line nutrition tracker with such sites as Sparkpeople.com, Livestrong.com, Fitday.com, Buddyslim.com, or log on to the template provided by FTBIYK. Your Coach will be monitoring your meal plan logs frequently. 5. How often do I get new Meal Plans? Typically every 1-2 weeks, depending on your specific designed program. Note: If you do not follow the meal plan exactly, initial calculations will be thrown off and weekly changes will not be as apparent. 6. How important is following FTBIYK's program to my success? Our program is based on 4 basic principles that must be followed to the best of your ability to achieve maximum results.
7. Do I need to exercise with my Meal Plans? YES! The purpose of the entire program is to achieve permanent healthy weight loss by changing your body composition. 8. What is Strength Training (ST) and why is it important? Strength Training is the only way to increase lean muscle tissue (toning), which in turn increases your metabolism. This insures permanent weight loss. It has been scientifically proven that ST is more beneficial to women to achieve lean muscle tissue and over all general health and wellness. ST has also been proven to prevent such serious illnesses as osteoporosis and even breast cancer. Ever wonder why men lose weight faster than women? Its because men naturally carry more muscle tissue than women. So the more ST women do, the faster they will lose body fat and the easier it will be for them to maintain that loss. For these reasons Cardio simply isn't enough, you need to implement ST into your work out routine. 9. How much does the program cost? See each tab for each respective service you are inquiring about on the home page. All prices are clearly listed for each service. 10. What are Interactive Cooking Classes and are they available in my area? Yes, within a reasonable travel area, or with customer provided traveling costs. You can inquire about classes and catering services via e-mail. |
